Your debrief
Pump P12 had a clogged filter. I cleaned it: flow restored during the test. The seal still leaks. We need to order the part before coming back.

The practical details

A few useful details.

Which fields belong in a service report?

Record the site, equipment, date, initial request, observations, completed work, parts, and checks. Add the condition at departure and the next actions. The required detail depends on the trade and your organization’s procedures; approval fields should not be completed automatically.

Can I dictate technical references?

Yes, but part numbers, serial numbers, and measurements need careful review. Spell an ambiguous identifier and check it against the equipment or source document. Multilingual transcription does not guarantee perfect recognition of a parts catalogue or specialist vocabulary, especially in a noisy service environment.

Is notefield a maintenance management system?

notefield captures conversations and prepares structured reports. It complements your workflow; it does not by itself replace your CMMS, parts inventory, route scheduling, or inspection procedures. Passing information to another business tool needs a workflow defined for your configuration.

One conversation. A simpler next step.
